30 May 2026 | National Heart Centre Singapore
BYTE.sg proudly collaborated with the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and the SingHealth Transplant Centre to host a specialized digital literacy session. Held at the National Heart Centre Singapore, the initiative was designed to empower over 60 transplant patients and their dedicated caregivers to confidently adopt and navigate modern digital healthcare tools.
Bridging the Gap in Healthcare Management
Managing long-term healthcare needs can often be a complex and overwhelming journey. Recognizing that digital accessibility is a critical component of modern patient care, Byte volunteers stepped in to demystify HealthHub, Singapore’s national healthcare management platform.
The session was carefully structured to ensure maximum engagement and practical learning. It began with a comprehensive, guided introduction to HealthHub’s ecosystem, followed by personalized, hands-on assistance. Byte volunteers worked one-on-one with participants, helping them install the application, explore its core features, and learn how to seamlessly manage their medical needs—from tracking appointments to accessing health records—right from their personal devices.
A Meaningful Milestone in Digital Inclusion
As a first-of-its-kind initiative tailored specifically for transplant patients, this session represents a vital step forward in strengthening digital healthcare literacy. By equipping patients and their caregivers with these essential digital skills, the program fosters greater independence, reduces administrative friction, and provides much-needed peace of mind.
Co-Creating Community Impact
We extend our deepest gratitude to our dedicated volunteers, who contributed their time, expertise, and patience to make this event a resounding success. We also thank our strategic partners at IMDA and the SingHealth Transplant Centre for the opportunity to co-create this meaningful community initiative.
Together, we will continue to advance digital inclusion, ensuring that Singaporeans from all walks of life are empowered to confidently participate in our digital future.
