As part of the founding team, Maria now spearheads the operationalization and delivery of Byte’s programs.

A tech veteran with over 18 years of experience, Shaikh champions technology as a catalyst for social mobility. Recognizing digital access as a powerful income multiplier, he co-founded Byte to make tech and design universally accessible. Today, he spearheads the organization’s overarching strategy and long-term vision.

Alan is a communications and community engagement professional dedicated to inclusivity and social mobility. An MDIS alumnus, 2017 SkillsFuture Study Award recipient, and President of the Yishun Town Secondary School Alumni Exco, he brings strong strategic and stakeholder management experience to his work. While upskilling for his next career transition, Alan drives BYTE’s public awareness by amplifying the organization’s mission and sharing inspiring beneficiary success stories.

Pramila is a Biomedical Researcher whose passion for youth development stems from her volunteering experiences in remote regions of India. She operates on the core belief that early access to the right resources is essential to unlocking every child’s potential. At BYTE, Pramila focuses on delivering technology-related education, designing engaging experiences that build beneficiaries’ self-confidence and interpersonal skills.

Valerie is a strong advocate for technology empowerment, recognizing it as a critical focus area as baseline digital literacy standards rapidly evolve. She excels at engaging with diverse communities and embraces the challenge of developing tailored, highly effective programs. At BYTE, Valerie contributes to the strategic curation of the educational curriculum and drives brand development to cultivate a robust network of volunteers and partners.
