10 Dec 2022 | Leng Kee Community Club
As 2022 drew to a close, Byte.sg marked a significant milestone at our Leng Kee Void Deck Technology Lab (VDTL) hub, celebrating the successful graduation of our young learners from their specialized coding module. To honour their commitment, every student was presented with a specially designed Certificate of Achievement.
At the core of the VDTL philosophy is the belief that celebrating these incremental milestones is vital to building long-term confidence, resilience, and a passion for lifelong learning among children from less-advantaged backgrounds.
A Mission-Driven Partnership with the RSAF
To make the final session of the year truly memorable, Byte.sg partnered with personnel from the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), specifically from the Paya Lebar Airbase. Looking to give back to the local community, these volunteers stepped up to co-host a festive year-end celebration for the Leng Kee beneficiaries.
The collaborative event seamlessly blended the reward of academic achievement with holiday cheer, featuring:
Interactive Team Games: Designed by volunteers to encourage teamwork and strategic thinking.
Festive Meals & Carols: Creating a warm, inclusive environment where students could bond with their mentors.
Holiday Gift Distribution: Ensuring every child walked away with a token of encouragement to kickstart the upcoming school year.
The Power of Grassroots Synergy
This year-end finale beautifully illustrates the ecosystem Byte.sg strives to cultivate. By bridging the gap between national agencies—like the RSAF—and local heartland communities, our programs offer unique avenues for civic engagement while providing our youth beneficiaries with positive, inspiring role models.
Byte.sg extends its warmest congratulations to our Leng Kee graduates for their hard work, and our heartfelt gratitude to the RSAF volunteers from Paya Lebar Airbase for dedicating their time and energy to creating an unforgettable conclusion to our 2022 operations.
